【Product Information】
A soundtrack from a 1977 documentary film by Philip Glass, a master of minimal music. This is the Japanese edition, but it was originally released by Virgin Records, and the early label logo is eye-catching. The previous year, he was in charge of the music for Robert Wilson's stage "Einstein on the Beach," and he gained attention as a minimalist composer. This is a work from the time when Glass-style minimal music began to flourish. Emphasis is placed on the technical experiments of "repetition" and "change," and it's even enjoyable to listen to despite being contemporary music. Philip Glass influenced Brian Eno and David Bowie, and he is an unusual composer for contemporary music, with requests for composition from major film directors. In particular, the influence on techno music and subsequent house music is significant, and there were many DJs and musicians who worshiped Glass. This is not only the perfect introduction to Philip Glass, but the sound pressure unique to records will transport you to a trance.
